So connecting Google hands Omni one set of keys to the tools you already use, on the business side of the product. It checks your calendar before it schedules work around you, sends from your address, reads the documents that explain your shop, and keeps a sheet up to date, without you switching tabs.

Calendar
Omni checks when you're free and manages business events in your Google Calendar, so it never schedules over time you can't use. It can create, update and list events for you.
Gmail
Omni sends from your Gmail address, the order confirmation, the follow-up, the reply, so messages come from you, not a stranger's inbox.
Drive
Omni can find, open and save files in your Drive, the brand voice doc, a returns policy, a report it wrote for you. You choose the files it can see.
Sheets
Omni reads a spreadsheet, updates a range, or appends new rows, for stock, pricing or order data, so the sheet you rely on stays current.
Contacts
Omni looks up a customer's details and lists who you know, straight from your Google Contacts. It reads your address book and never changes it.
You set the limits
For Drive and Sheets you pick the files Omni can open, a limit Google itself enforces. Connecting Google never quietly widens what Omni can reach.

Your Google tools sit on the business side of the product, the side that runs your shop. The assistant your customers talk to has no path to any of it.
Never on your shop
Your calendar, inbox, Drive, sheets and contacts are for Omni. The chat on your storefront can't reach them, full stop.
One connection, clear scope
You connect Google once. What you grant is what Omni has, and you can see and change it in your settings whenever you like.
Nothing widens on its own
Connecting Google doesn't quietly grow over time. The access you choose is the access it keeps, until you change it.
Drive access is a real limit, not a promise.
Omni can only open the Drive files you picked, because Google itself holds the connection to just those files. It isn't a filter we run and hope holds.
Google enforces it
Pick files through Google's own picker and the narrow scope means Omni's connection can only ever resolve those files. We proved it end to end: Omni reads a file you picked, and is refused one you didn't.
Files, not folders
We chose specific files, not folders, because a folder isn't a boundary Google can hold to. The full reasoning is on the Google Drive access page.
Change your mind any time
Add or remove files whenever you like, in a tap. Removing a file just stops Omni opening it, the file stays put.

In Integrations → Google, connect Google Workspace. Google walks you through approving access in the usual way.
Choose what's on
Turn on what you want, calendar, email, Drive, sheets, contacts, and choose the Drive files Omni can see.
Let Omni work
From then on Omni can check your diary, send from your inbox, open the files you allow, and keep the sheets you choose current, without leaving what you're doing.

What does Omni do with my Google account?
It works across whatever you turn on. It checks your calendar and manages calendar events, sends email from your address, opens and saves the Drive files you allow, reads and updates the sheets you choose, and looks up your contacts.
Can my customers' chat reach my Google account?
No. Your Google tools are for Omni, the side that runs your business. The assistant on your storefront has no route to your calendar, inbox, Drive, sheets or contacts.
Can I limit what Omni sees in my Drive?
Yes. Omni opens only the files you pick through Google's own picker, and the ones it makes for you, a limit Google itself enforces. See the Google Drive access page for the walkthrough.
Do I have to turn everything on?
No. Calendar, Gmail, Drive, Sheets and Contacts each have their own switch. Turn on what's useful and leave the rest off.
Will Omni email or change things without me?
Omni acts on what you ask it to do and the way you've set it up. You decide what is on, and for anything sensitive it surfaces the action for you rather than guessing.
Can I change or disconnect later?
Any time. Change what is on, adjust Drive access, or disconnect Google entirely from your settings whenever you like.
